Jessica Navarro

I am a San Diego native. I graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management and a minor in Chicano and Chicana Studies. I completed a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Organizational Studies at Azusa Pacific University. I worked in the hospitality and event industry for 10 years. Most recently, I worked as a parent and community liaison at a high school in south San Diego. Research shows that parent and family engagement helps keep students on track, leading to better student attendance, fewer missed assignments, improved test scores, increased grade point averages and better graduation rates. My goal is for all students to be successful in school. In my free time, I love exploring San Diego and creating amazing memories with my family.
